On the Street……Chinatown, NYC.
I knew a month ago when I saw this that I wanted to change the top of her jacket into a bear, but I never thought it would take me into the realm of fantasy with fire and ice. In the end, I really wanted to portray her as a soul trapped within the bear, whose rage was consuming her beauty, commanding her to destroy the ones she loved.

On the Street …. Red & Blue, NYC
I like to practice drawing croquis, and I thought the expression on this woman’s face was adorable. I was really excited to see that she had a feather on her hat!

On the Street……Bold On Sixth Ave., NYC.
I imagined her falling through water, her scarf heating the ocean around her and setting it ablaze. In a way, she also reminded me of Carmen San Diego with her beauty and mystery. I was playing with shapes here and really wanted to stick to just the rounded brush. A headache set in half way through, some Ratatat came on, I napped, I finished, and here we are. This was Wednesday’s sketch.

On the Street……Layers of Grey, NYC.
This photo really inspired me because I loved the non-stop shades of greys and browns. Also, the model has a beautifully long neck and a hint of sea-green eyes that I could just fall into. The slight smirk, above it all, look on her face seals the deal in my book. It also gave me a chance to experiment with some charcoal brushes in my lines, and to stay really loose, not focusing on the details too much.
